- Abstract
Conspectus 37, a journal accredited by the South African Department of Higher Education and Training, celebrates its one-year anniversary with a volume focused on translation, orality, historical theology, and ethics. The articles cover topics such as the use of translational English in theological compositions, the value of oral theology in African churches, Augustine's influence on the doctrine of predestination, the role of African Pentecostalism in South Africa's socio-political rebuilding, maintaining an evangelical faith in a decadent culture, and a comparison of Yoruba and Western views on ethics. The volume also includes book reviews and announces new members of the editorial board. The journal mourns the passing of Dr. Batanayi Manyika, former editor and dedicated board member.
