- Abstract
The article focuses on the literary style used by author William Faulkner in his writing. Faulkner's novels "Flags in the Dust" and "Absalom, Absalom!," are analyzed for his representation of history and its effects on the present. The use of "monumental history" between Faulkner and German philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche are compared. Faulkner's other works highlight refuge from history as in his book "The Sound and the Fury." Details are given for the articles in this issue.
