- Abstract
The article discusses a study conducted by physician Justis P. Ehlers and colleagues published in a 2014 issue of the "Retina" journal which found that intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT) provides findings that may affect decision making during vitreomacular traction surgery. According to Ehlers, microscope-integrated OCT can help surgeons to directly visualize release of the traction on OCT and visualize when traction goes beyond a certain level.
