- Abstract
The article presents a research study on the level of parental involvement in schools in Israel. It reviews memorandums released by the Israeli Ministry of Education and the actual level of parent involvement in schools. Findings reveal that parent involvement mainly revolve around the provision of daily funds and materials for their children. The study suggests that the state adopt a more democratic approach by reducing emphasis on educators and increasing role of parents in school governance.
