- Abstract
The authors discuss the study "No impact of deep brain stimulation on fear-potentiated startle in obsessive-compulsive disorder," by J. M. Baas and colleagues. They argue that it might be inappropriate to establish the strong conclusion that deep brain stimulation (DBS) does not have an effect on contextual anxiety. In addition, they mention that Baas and colleagues hypothesized that they would be able to stimulate the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BST).
