- Abstract
The article discusses the proceeding of the U.S. Supreme Court case Norfolk Southern Railway Co. v. Sorrell and the implications of the decision in future cases under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA). It is stated that the FELA provides railroad workers' right to sue employers due to negligence. It is concluded that the case has illustrated how FELA has grown well beyond its initial purpose to include injuries and risks in railroad industry's liabilities.
