- Abstract
The article offers an interpretation of Hengxian. It states that the Hengxian is one of the bamboo books of the Chu State during the Warring States Period that is kept in the Shanghai Museum and was collected by the museum in 1994. It is also regarded as an important piece of literature that tackles cosmic issues prior to Huainanzi. Moreover, based on Li Ling's work on the text and through the hermeneutic work by other scholars, this discussion represents another attempt to identify the words and meanings of the Hengxian, with particular focus on its cosmological connotations.
