- Abstract
The article discusses the 18th century silver lid and the 18th and 19th century ceramic pitchers of the Jewish Mikulov (Nikolsburg) Burial Society of Mikulov, Czech Republic held in the Jewish Museum in Prague (JMP), Czech Republic. An overview of the Jewish community of Mikulov, including its members' knowledge of pottery, is provided. The silver lid and ceramic pitchers' designs, including a Hebrew dedicatory inscription on the lowered rim of the lid and the decoration on the ceramic pitcher, are discussed. The preservation of the ceramic pitchers is also discussed.
