- Abstract
The article offers news briefs related to animal welfare. Rabies from dog bites causes about 20,000 human deaths annually in India which in response captured dogs and vaccinated them against rabies. A study on the prevalence of lameness of sows in Finland was conducted which affects their welfare and is one of the primary reasons for culling. A clinical examination found out that eye disease in cattles has been caused by the foreign bodies in barren brome after being fed with haylage.
