- Abstract
The article discusses pleural effusion, as well as its causes. Also cited are the vital parameters that could affect the management of patients with pleural infection like pleural fluid pH, how to interpret pleural fluid biochemistry, and other useful biochemical tests for pleural effusion like lipid studies, adenosine deaminase, and C-reactive protein and procalcitonin.
