The article discusses the role of Illinois and the Midwest in addressing climate change issues. It mentions the Illinois Climate Change Advisory Group (ICCAG) which recommended twenty-four strategies and demonstrated that air modeling would achieve a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Illinois up to 1990 levels by 2010.
