- Abstract
The article presents a study on cardiovascular toxicity in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) and sarcoma due to imatinib mesylate. It says that patients with consecutive treatment of imatinib mesylate were examined to describe cardiac adverse. It adds that managing cardiotoxic adverse can be done by medical therapy and by ending the use of imatinib mesylate. It concludes that imatinib mesylate is a strange cause of cardiotoxicity and cardiac adverse can be controlled if cured.
