- Abstract
The article discusses the highlights of the Engineers Ireland Conference 2009 held at the Tullamore Court Hotel, County Offaly, Ireland. The event featured a keynote session by Engineers Ireland president, Doctor Jim Browne who declared that Ireland is well-equipped to move towards a strong economic recovery as a result of improvements in infrastructure and employment. Also covered were presentations from Norman Lewis of Wireless Grids Corp., U.S.A. who spoke on innovation, and Oliver Daniels of Nortel on the topic of research and development capability.
