- Abstract
The present proposal is developed under the need to provide childrenpatients of Hospital Classrooms with the possibility of continuing with their academic processes. This research aims to analyze the relationship between resilience, emotional intelligence and motor skills in students linked to hospital classrooms. For this purpose, 30 students (17 girls and 13 boys) of elementary school between 7 and 10 years old were selected from Kennedy Hospital in Bogotá, Colombia. The Resilience Test was used to assess resilience, the Emotional Intelligence Test to assess emotional intelligence and the Motor Skills Test to measure the motor skills of children. The results indicate that there is a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and resilience, a significant negative correlation between emotional intelligence and motor skills and a significant negative correlation between resilience and motor skills. Consequently, these results have interesting educational implications for the design of psychoeducational intervention programs that promote the development of resilience, emotional intelligence and the motor skills of children-patients of the Hospital Classroom.
