- Abstract
The article discusses the court case Kowalski v. Berkeley County School in South Carolina in which the plaintiff sued the schools for violation of free speech, violations for cruel and unusual punishment and negligent infliction of emotional distress. As mentioned, the school suspended Kowalski for making fun of fellow student through cyber speech. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled that school was authorized to discipline Kara as the speech actually caused disruption.
