- Abstract
This article discusses the importance of culturally competent and inclusive care for patients with endometriosis. It highlights disparities in surgical procedures among racialized patients and emphasizes the need for providers to ensure that all patients receive high-quality care and are aware of all treatment options. The article also addresses the difficulties Indigenous people face in accessing pain-relieving medicine and suggests that providers consider access barriers when discussing endometriosis management. Additionally, the article emphasizes the importance of overcoming diagnostic barriers and creating an inclusive environment for transgender patients, as well as respecting cultural practices and beliefs through shared decision-making.
