The article describes Pinguicula elongata carnivorous plants found in the mountains near Bogotá, Colombia. The plants are said to be reddish, with violet flowers and elongated leaves. Seasonal characteristics include dormant rosettes during summer, long leaves with the first rains in March and slow growth from September through November.
