- Title
Hurting the Feelings of Others.
- Authors
Groys, Boris
- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on self-censorship by artists and authors as of March 2016. He states that self-censorship is widespread especially among authors as they are afraid of the consequences of their writing and hurt religious people's feelings. The Pussy Riot in Russia is discussed wherein a group of artists tried to perform the Punk Prayer to the Holy Virgin to reove President Vladimir Putin outside a cathedral in Moscow. He argues that art is blasphemous and artists must not consider believers' feelings as they will always get hurt by art.
