- Abstract
The article focuses on the development of first-year chemistry course designed for general education in higher education. As stated in the article, general chemistry courses are taught with major emphasis on materials useful to the few students who will continue in advanced work in the field of science. The new course of study is based upon modern philosophy of science and education with emphasis upon objective scientific learning. The topical outline of the general education chemistry course is presented by the author.
