- Title
SPEECH: REQUIRED FOR ALL CRAWFORDSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORES.
- Authors
Grider, W. H.
- Abstract
This article provides information on a speech training policy implemented at Crawfordsville High School in Indiana. The aim of the course is to "expose" all sophomores to a study stressing oral composition, grammar, discussion and analytical listening, with a firm belief that many principles taught will "stick" and that students will be better poised, have more confidence in speech situations than they otherwise would have attained. The course emphasizes the study of theory, then the practical application of principles in class projects.
