- Abstract
The term comfort may be defined as the absence of unpleasantness or discomfort or a natural state of comparison to the more active state of pleasure. Sensorial comfort is a perception of clothing comfort which is sensory responses of nerves ending to external stimuli producing neuro physiological impulses which are sent to brain. The true area of contact between textile material and other surfaces represents a complex parameter in which many factors play interactive and dependent roles. The influence of the area ratio on the mobile interaction between the fabric and the skin is also investigated. A fabric hand or handle depicts the way a fabric feels when it is touched by human hand and gives an indication of texture of the fabric. The perception-analysis process attempts to seek out the wearing conditions that produce difference in human sensation and descriptions used by individuals to describe the sensations. This paper highlights the properties of comfort clothing.
