- Abstract
The article discusses the key areas where Canada's approach to Arctic knowledge is used. These areas include icebreaking, arctic drilling and fishing and mining. The Canadian National Research Council Institute for Ocean Technology (NRC-IOT) has an active and extensive program in Arctic operations and is pursuing projects related to survival in the Arctic Ocean. It points to the Canadian Coast Guard as the main ship support in the Canadian High Arctic.
