- Title
Re-Photographing the Baltic Sea Scenery in Liepaja: Why Photograph the Same Scenery Multiple Times?
- Authors
RADIN, MICHAEL A.; ORLOVA, OLGA A.
- Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to portray how peculiar and vital it is to retake multiple photographs of the same theme as a pertinent fragment of cognitive photography. In fact, photographing the same scenery or theme during different times of the day, during different seasons and during different weather conditions. This is an essential part of the learning process as the photographs will be different each time. Our aims of this paper are to understand why the photographs will be different each time and how the light conveys not only the theme but also the mood and the tone; the theme maybe the same but not the mood and the tone. Examples of photographs will be used to exhibit such contrasts.
