TUNNEL VISION.
- Authors
Wojnarski, Kasia
- Abstract
The article talks about "Tunnel Vision," a steel tunnel. According to the author, his art piece brings its participants into an intimate relationship with fire and in doing so offers its visitors a chance for purification and transformative insight as they walk through a tunnel of flames. He says that the tunnel measures 11 feet in length and 9 feet in diameter. He mentions that when the tunnel is turned on, it emits hundreds of individual flames and creates a virtual tunnel of fire. He notes that the tunnel is made up entirely of 1-inches round tubing, bent into nine circles, with a 3 feet gap at the bottom, that connects, at 13-inches intervals, to a base made of 2 and a half inches pipe.
