- Abstract
BiOCl/ Bi2 O3 composites were synthesized by the treatment of BiOCl with NaOH solution and its photocatalytic properties were studied. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),ultraviolet-visible(UV-vis) absorption spectroscopy,impedance spectroscopy(IS) and photoluminescence( PL) spectroscopy. The photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B ( Rh B) solution over BiOCl/ Bi2 O3 composite was studied by using high pressure xenon lamp as light source. The result shows that the BiOCl/ Bi2 O3 composite has strong obsorption in 350 ~ 500 nm. The composite has the micro morphology of lamellar-rod structure, the faster electron transfer rate and lower PL strength. When the concentration of NaOH solution is 10.00 mol/L,the degradation rate of Rh B photocatalyzed by 35/ 65 BiOCl/ Bi2 O3 composite is 67. 3% at 50 min.
