- Title
The Divided States of America: are state board examinations protectionist or discriminatory?
- Authors
Simonsen, Richard J.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's viewpoint on the relevance of state board examinations conducted by several states boards of dentistry in the U.S. He informs that in order to practice, dentists have to clear an examination conducted by the state board of dentistry of that state. But in today's mobile and computer oriented world these exams are outdated and have no use. He argues that if someone is able to practice in one state then he need not clear an exam to practice in another state.
