- Title
Longitudinal Evaluation of Periodontal Therapy.
- Authors
Ramfjord, Sigurd P.
- Abstract
The article discusses the longitudinal assessment of periodontal therapy. It presents an analysis regarding the implications of longitudinal clinical trials for the treatment of periodontitis to clinical practice. It assessed patients through the results of surgical procedures they have undergone including subgingival curretage, modified Widman flap surgery, and pocket elimination surgery. It concludes that complete removal of root surface accretions is considered to be more important than any aspects of soft tissue and bone surgery.
