- Abstract
The article focuses on a report about inequalities in infant mortality in London, England. The report shows that babies born to mothers living in deprived areas are at greater risk of dying during their first year. The report also notes that the mortality rate for children born and registered without a father is at 8.9 deaths per 1,000 live births. Children born to mothers under 20 years of age possess a mortality rate of 8.7 deaths per 1,000 live births.
