- Abstract
Tumour size in melanocytic choroidal tumours is a key factor in both diagnosis and prognosis. Currently, ultrasonography (US) is the gold-standard technique for tumour measurement, although in case of small or flat tumours it can be of little help. New imaging techniques such as enhanced depth imaging and swept-source optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT; SS-OCT) have proven useful to characterise some aspects of these lesions.
