- Abstract
The article presents information on a study which examined the detection of cardiac troponin T (cTnT) quantified by a highly sensitive assay in the majority of community-dwelling older adults. Likewise, the study also investigated the relationship between serial measures and risk of heart failure (HF) hospitalization and cardiovascular death. Through June 2008, the study authors examined new incidence of HF and cardiovascular death, taken into consideration the clinical risk predictors. A discussion on the research findings is detailed.
