- Authors
Chen, Michelle
- Abstract
The article offers information on the partnership of workers at the automobile factory of Nissan in Canton, Mississippi with the United Auto Workers (UAW) to conduct a campaign against the company due to the challenges being experienced by workers. It mentions insight from Morris Mock, the plant's paint technician, regarding the development of the campaign due to the unstable working conditions and the declining safety protections and benefits for the workers. It states that factory workers demand value in the workplace that promotes the development of a community despite the announcement from automaker Nissan regarding its investment on plant safety and higher wage.
