- Abstract
The article presents a notice to readers warning of the potential malfunction of medical equipment as a result of the improper use of cleaning and disinfecting liquids. The issuing of the public health notice by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is intended to ensure that medical equipment surfaces do not become reservoirs for transmission of infections pathogens.
