- Abstract
The Nobel Prize in Economics 2022 was awarded to Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond, and Philip H. Dybvig. It is noted that the majority of the laureates come from the United States and that only two women have been awarded the prize so far. The authors also discuss the demographic characteristics of the laureates and find that the average age of this year's laureates is typical. Furthermore, it is mentioned that joint awarding of the prize has become a trend in the last 20 years. Other articles address topics such as reducing dependencies on energy and critical raw materials, the situation of family businesses in Europe, and the impact of the debt brake in Switzerland.
