The article focuses on the law governing commoditized speech in the U.S. Topics discussed include doctrinal confusion regarding the interaction between the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and commoditized speech; relationship between First Amendment issues and bargain fairness; and U.S. Supreme Court case Reed v. Town of Gilbert in which the court clarified when municipalities may impose content-based restrictions on signage.
