- Abstract
This paper deals with the report of an adult literacy course, based on a methodology which sought to integrate elements of Paulo Freire's pedagogy with knowledge about ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), having the knowledge about Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB) as its generator theme. The main objective was the expansion of literacy levels among adults from popular sectors, so that they could develop skills that are very dependent on reading and reading comprehension, such as the acquirement of CNH (National Driver's License). The results show the difficulties of a pedagogical proposition that is very dependent on ICT, which is based on the "learning to learn" and obliges the student to study the material at home. In conclusion, this model is not enough to educate different groups of illiterate Brazilian adults.
