- Title
Illuminate Life Processes by Taking a Sexual History.
- Authors
Levine, Stephen B.
- Abstract
The article offers psychiatric insights on discussing a patient's sexual life. Topics discussed include the non-separation of sexual life and biopsychosocial processes during the life cycle, non-assumption of taking a sexual history as a difficult personal process, and the conduct of interaction with patients without regard for gender. Also noted are the acceptance of the non-existence of a complete sexual history and of the evolution of sexual history.
