- Title
Design Decision Making and ICU Life Support Systems.
- Authors
Hamilton, D. Kirk
- Abstract
The article discusses the evidence-based design approach in decision making for the choice of a life support system in a hospital intensive care unit (ICU). It states that the most common choice is the headwall model in which utilities and physiological monitors are located on the wall behind the head of the bed. It says that it would be helpful if team prepared a report which documents the process once the choice of a life support system is made.
