- Abstract
The article discusses the secret settlement of federal class action lawsuits in the U.S. as of September 2012, focusing on an analysis of the legal and social aspects of the settlement of civil lawsuits in America, including information on the confidentiality associated with settlement agreements. The U.S. Class Action Fairness Act is addressed, along with an examination of several legal cases including the U.S. District Court's ruling in the case Hirschfield v. B'nai B'rith Int'l.
