The article looks at the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Bruton v. United States regarding the Sixth Amendment's Confrontation Clause guarantees the right of the accused in all criminal prosecutions. It mentions that primary interest secured by the clause is the right of the accused to cross-examine witnesses and the Fifth Amendment's protection against compulsory self-incrimination.
