- Abstract
The article focuses on the U.S Constitution's First Amendment rights of the civilian recorder with reference to cases of civilian recorders arrested for violations of privacy, harassment, or wiretapping statutes. Topics discussed include the right to record as part of a right to gather public information, the limitations and concerns surrounding the right to record, and the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit's decision in case Whiteland Woods, L.P. v. Township of West Whiteland.
