- Abstract
The article focuses on the issue of the provision of arms and non-lethal assistance to both government and opposition forces for the protection of civilians in the Arab Spring conflicts. It analyzes the legality of the provision of arms and non-lethal assistance under the principle of non-intervention and the prohibition of the use of force. It discusses the court case of Nicaragua v United States of America of 1986 discussing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolutions.
