- Abstract
The author discusses the analysis of Paul Stapleton regarding the trends in language teaching as represented of Japanese Association of Language Teachers (JALT) conferences as of 1983. He reveals several developments in language teaching in the analysis of Stapleton including increase attention in vocabulary, domination of interest in language learning methods, and growth in learner development attention. He adds his small-scale analysis of articles in "Language Teaching Research" first volume.
