- Abstract
The article discusses geochemistry highlighting the rare earth distribution in the bottom sediments of the Caspian Sea. The Volga river delta has been studied with the Rare Earth Element (REE) distribution for the Caspian Sea subsystems. Isotope compositions of Neodymium and Strontium have been analyzed on a mass spectrometer. The study concludes that in the suspended drainage of the Volga River, detrital material prevails which is controlled by the current circulation in the Caspian Sea.
