- Authors
Gupta, N.; Fitzgerald, S. D.; Peterson, G. J.
- Abstract
Posttraumatic pseudoaneurysm of the mesenteric vasculature is rare. The authors describe the case of a forty-seven-year-old man with a jejunal artery pseudoaneurysm eleven years after a stab wound to the abdomen. The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy and ligation of the pseudoaneurysm. Late sequelae of missed superior mesenteric artery injury include superior mesenteric arteriovenous fistula and pseudoaneurysm.
