- Title
Kerala tribals get a Jeevani jolt.
- Abstract
The article reports that Great Earth Cos. Inc., a leading food supplement store chain in the United States, secured the trademark rights for Jeevani, a stress-reducing herbal product formerly produced and marketed by Arya Vaidya Pharmacy in Coimbatore, India. The move effectively ends financing of a trust fund set up from profits from the original licence fee to benefit the Kani tribal community. Arogyapacha, the main ingredient in Jeevani, forms part of the tribe's traditional knowledge.
