- Authors
Maurer, Brian T.
- Abstract
The article presents a first-person account by a primary care pediatrician who conducted an impromptu ophthalmological examination on an auto mechanic whose left eye had been damaged by a flying piece of rusted metal. He diagnosed a traumatic cataract based on the eye's opacity and recommended a visit to an ophthalmologist for treatment options.
