- Abstract
The article offers information on how to screen and treat patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). It states that asking patients two simple questions such as if they have felt depressed or hopeless in the past months, and if they are experiencing little interest in what they are doing, patients then should be refer to an inpatient treatment of counseling to stop them from committing suicide. It also mentions that patients can be treated with a second-generation antidepressant.
