- Abstract
The article reports on the increase of incoherent myriad organ donation programs in Canada, which brought an agreement to the federal, provincial, except Quebec, and territorial governments that an integrated national organ donation system should be established, including national oversight and allocation mechanisms for all organs and tissues. According to Dr. Graham Sher of the Canadian Blood Services, the department received assurances from the provinces that they will set aside the persistent jurisdictional wrangling to improve Canada's miserable organ donation rates.
