The article explores the progression of the U.S. Fourth Amendment jurisprudence after the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the case Riley v. California related to the warrantless cell phone searches for arrest. It mentions that unconstitutionality of warrantless cell phone searches under the First and Fourth Amendments. It also mentions that Supreme Court's search-incident-to-arrest doctrine with the case Chimel v. United States.
