- Abstract
Eye detection is a pre-requisite stage for many applications such as iris recognition, fatigue detection based on eye-blink count and eye-directed instruction control. This paper presents a method using image processing techniques with minimal hardware support to detect the presence and locations of the eyes in an image. Preprocessing involves color range processing and color segmentation. Hough Transform is applied in the research, using fixed-radius circular method. The performance of the developed algorithm is assessed from several aspects such as the accuracy of face detection and eye detection. Experiment result is presented and discussed at the end of this paper
